BUILDING CHARACTER FOR GREAT SUCCESS

The  dictionary defines "Character" as "The qualities built into an individual's life that determine his or her response, regardless of circumstances." It is significant that these character qualities are "built" - they don't just happen to be there.MATT PRESTON defines  Character as the inward foundation and the outward construction or destruction, of our lives. With each part or trait, we choose to develop, we can either build up or tear down.

Developing great character (and subsequently, I believe, a great life) is an active process which you must undertake.
As with many things, there is a flip-side.
We all have the capacity for good character or positive character traits. We also have the capacity for bad and negative traits.
So if you think you have it all together, great. Take the necessary steps to protect your thoughts and actions. Look for ways to improve on the great foundation you have.
If you have been disappointed with the way you have been thinking and acting and believe you have already gone past the point of no return and that there is no hope for you, think again!
You, right now, can decide that you are going to change the way you think and act.
That is a difficult yet monumental decision. It will take courage and discipline to do it, especially if you have had no one to model this behavior for you.
It will take an awareness of your surroundings and of who you allow to influence you. It will take focus, integrity, and resourcefulness.
building up a great character takes a lot of work and certain traits are necessary to have the character for great success........
  1. ATTENTIVENESS
Showing the worth of a person or task by giving your undivided concentration. You are where your attention is. Develop the ability to focus and the world is your oyster. So many things are vying for your attention that it's amazing you get anything done. There is a price you pay for wealth and success and that price is "Attention".
  2. AVAILABILITY
There exist a fine line between being self-centered and selfish. We've been taught that selfishness is a bad thing. I am stating right now that it is not. Being selfish means to take care of oneself. Take the time for yourself, yet be conscious of others. You are of no good to anyone else until you are good to yourself.
  3. BOLDNESS
Confidence that what you have to say or do is true, right, and just. We are all special. The world needs to hear your unique voice.
  4. CAUTIOUSNESS
Knowing how important timing is in accomplishing right action. As the saying goes, "Timing is everything.
  5. DECISIVENESS The ability to recognize key factors and finalize decisions. Many a great fortune has been lost because of the inability to make a decision. Success in life is about making choices.
  6. DETERMINATIONPurposing to accomplish right goals at the right time, regardless of the opposition. Winners are those who are determined to do so.
  7. SENSITIVITY
Perceiving the true attitudes and emotions of those around you. Always be keenly aware of your surroundings. People and situations speak without uttering a word.
  8. SINCERITY
Eagerness to do what is right with transparent motives. When you are true to yourself, you can't help but be true to others.
  9. VIRTUE
The moral excellence evident in your life as you consistently do what is for your highest good and the good of others.
  10. WISDOM
Seeing and responding to life situations from a perspective that transcends your current circumstances. Having the ability to accurately apply knowledge, experience, and understanding.
hopefully, with these outlined steps, you can truly build a character tat will take you to the peak of success.
thank you.
AM LUCAS THE REFORMIST.
